Stainlessinox LLP is a manufacturer and supplier of architectural and decorative stainless steel sheets, with production at Khopoli, near Mumbai, and a main office in Lower Parel.

The company began in Dubai in 2010 as Stainlessinox International FZCO, a stockholder and exporter of stainless steel flat products. It has since grown from a metal trading business into a manufacturer of decorative finishes, decorative metal fabrication and metal services, supplying customers across the GCC, the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.

In India, we press, hammer roll, polish and PVD coat stainless steel on our own machinery, hold stock for fast supply, and back every order with ISO certified quality control. Our sheets have been supplied to projects such as the Museum of the Future in Dubai and the Dhirubhai Ambani International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.

Quality, reliability and integrity are the founding principles of the business. We source raw material from some of the world's most reputable stainless steel mills and process it in-house, so the finish you approve on a sample is the finish that arrives on site.

04 Brushed Finish

Brushed sheet carries a No.4 satin grain applied by abrasive belts in one direction, at 150 to 240 grit as standard. It hides fingerprints and fine scratches, which is why it is the default for high-traffic commercial interiors. Subtypes cover No.3, No.4, No.6 and hairline.

06 Hairline

Hairline finish carries long, continuous fine grinding lines in a single direction, smoother and more reflective than a standard brush. It softens PVD colour intensity and reduces visible fingerprints, so it is widely specified for lift lobbies and corridors.

07 PVD Colour

PVD sheet is stainless steel coated with a titanium-based colour film, 0.1 to 0.3 micron thick, deposited in a vacuum chamber by cathodic arc. The film bonds at the atomic level, so it will not peel, flake or fade in normal indoor use for 10 to 15 years or more.

PVD colour range

Ten colours,
fused into the steel.

The colour of a PVD sheet is not a paint or a pigment. It comes from the optical behaviour of a titanium compound film deposited in a vacuum chamber, which is why it stays uniform and does not fade.

How the colours are made. Titanium nitride (TiN) produces gold and champagne tones. Titanium carbonitride (TiCN) creates rose gold and darker, warmer shades. Zirconium nitride (ZrN) gives a gold-like tone, and black is achieved with titanium, aluminium or chromium based compounds. Each colour corresponds to a specific compound deposited during the process, not a dye.

How they last. Coating thickness is held between 0.1 and 0.3 micron and controlled by deposition time inside the chamber. The film is harder and more abrasion resistant than electrochemical colouring, and the process produces zero liquid or gaseous discharge. Custom colours are available on request above minimum order quantities.

From coil to crate

How a Stainlessinox
sheet is made.

Every decorative sheet passes through six stages at our Khopoli facility, backed by full quality testing from our specialists. Because the machinery is ours, we control quality, dimensions and lead time end to end.

STAGE 01

Source

We buy prime coils and sheets from some of the world's most reputable stainless steel mills, to ASTM and AISI standards, in grades 201, 304, 304L, 316, 316L and 430.

ASTM · AISI · 6 grades
STAGE 02

Polish

Our wet polishing line produces a true non-directional No.8 mirror, cleaner at the microscopic level than dry polished surfaces, in 6K, 8K and 10K reflectivity grades.

Wet polished · Ra < 0.2 µm
STAGE 03

Texture

Purpose-built mould presses form water ripple patterns, and custom structured rolls hammer roll dimpled textures into the sheet, single or double sided.

Mould press · hammer rolls
STAGE 04

Colour

Sheets are PVD coated in a vacuum chamber, where vaporised titanium reacts with nitrogen or carbon gases to deposit a 0.1 to 0.3 micron colour film that bonds at the atomic level.

Cathodic arc · 10 colours
STAGE 05

Cut & finish

In-house laser cutting handles stainless steel to 12 mm at 1500 x 3000 mm, waterjet cuts 0.5 to 50 mm at up to 2000 x 6000 mm, and CNC punching and V-grooving prepare panels to shop drawings.

Laser · waterjet · ±1.5 mm
STAGE 06

Protect & ship

Finished sheets are covered with PE or laser PE protective film, packed in heavy-duty wooden crates and shipped pan-India and worldwide, whatever the order size.

Surface technology

Engineered beyond the finish.

A finish decides how a sheet looks. Coatings decide how it behaves on the surfaces people touch every day.

01

Anti-fingerprint (AFP)

A transparent nano coating applied after polishing that repels oils and water, so fingerprints, dirt and even graffiti wipe off without residue. Available across all base finishes and over PVD colour.

02

Antimicrobial coating

A nano coating that inhibits the growth of microorganisms on the sheet surface, reducing the risk of healthcare associated infection in clinical, food and public interiors.

03

PVD / TiN colour

A titanium nitride based colour layer that is more uniform and more abrasion resistant than electrochemical colouring, with zero liquid or gaseous discharge in production.

Grades & sizes

The right grade for the environment.

Grade choice depends on where the sheet will live. SS 304 is the standard for interior architectural work. SS 316 and 316L carry higher chloride resistance and are recommended for coastal, poolside and high-humidity exterior installations. Low-carbon grades 304L and 316L reduce the risk of intergranular corrosion at weld zones in fabricated assemblies. SS 201 offers an economical option for dry interiors, and SS 430 is the ferritic choice where mild corrosion resistance is acceptable.

Why stainless

A green material that lasts the life of the building.

Stainless steel is 100 per cent recyclable, and up to 70 per cent of every sheet starts as recycled material. It is the preferred material for green building worldwide, and it stays fireproof, waterproof and corrosion resistant for decades without repainting or replacement.

Specifying stainless steel once means the surface does not need to be stripped, recoated or sent to landfill during the life of the interior. At end of life, the sheet returns to the melt as scrap and becomes new stainless steel.

Good to know

Specifying
made simple

Answers to the questions architects, designers and fabricators ask us most, drawn from our technical team.

Talk to our team

Is Stainlessinox a manufacturer or a supplier?
Both. We manufacture decorative stainless steel finishes at our facility in Khopoli, near Mumbai, and we hold one of the largest decorative stainless steel inventories in India, so standard finishes ship from stock while custom orders run on our own machinery.
What is the difference between 6K, 8K and 10K mirror?
The number indicates the depth of the final polish. 6K is a semi mirror with faint polishing lines, 8K is the standard No.8 mirror per ASTM A480 with high non-directional reflectivity, and 10K is a super mirror with fewer surface imperfections and higher clarity.
Will PVD colour fade or peel?
No, not in normal use. The PVD film bonds to the stainless steel at the atomic level and lasts 10 to 15 years or more indoors without fading, peeling or tarnishing. Outdoor life depends on coating thickness and exposure.
Can PVD coated sheets be bent, folded or welded?
Yes. The film is only 0.1 to 0.3 micron thick and survives bending, folding and welding. For welded assemblies we recommend low-carbon grades such as 304L or 316L to reduce the risk of intergranular corrosion at weld zones.
Which grade should I use for a coastal project?
SS 316 or 316L. Both carry higher chloride resistance than 304 and are recommended for coastal, poolside and high-humidity exterior installations.
What sizes and thicknesses are available?
Standard sheets are 4 x 8 ft (1219 x 2438 mm), 4 x 10 ft (1219 x 3048 mm) and 5 x 10 ft (1524 x 3048 mm). Thickness runs from 0.3 mm to 6.0 mm depending on the finish, with cut-to-size at a tolerance of ±1.5 mm.
Do you deliver outside India?
Yes. We deliver pan-India and export worldwide regardless of order size, in heavy-duty wooden crates, supported by our head office in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai.
Can I see the material before ordering?
Yes. Request samples of any finish or PVD colour through our samples page, and our team will arrange them along with the relevant catalogue pages.
