Vibration finish stainless steel sheet (also called non-directional satin, Angel Hair finish, VP finish, or circular brushed finish) is a decorative steel sheet polished with a rotating and revolving abrasive head that moves across the surface in random, overlapping arcs. The process creates a uniform, multi-directional grit pattern with no visible start or end point. The texture sits between a coarse bead blast and a fine directional hairline, producing a soft matte appearance that diffuses reflected light evenly. It won't show fingerprints or minor scratches the way a mirror or linear brushed finish does.
Vibration finish sheets are available in thicknesses from 0.3 mm to 3.0 mm and widths up to 1,500 mm. Standard sizes include 1000x2000 mm, 1219x2438 mm (4x8 ft), 1219x3048 mm, and 1500x3000 mm, with custom cutting on request. Grit options range from 80# (coarse) through 120# and 180# to 240# (fine, smooth texture). Three coating variants are stocked: natural (uncoated), PVD colour coated in 10 shades, and anti-fingerprint (AFP). PVD Coloured Vibration Finish Sheets
PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) coating applies a titanium-based colour layer in a vacuum chamber using a cathodic arc source. The coating bonds at the molecular level and measures 0.3 to 1.0 microns thick on decorative sheets. It won't fade, peel, or discolour over time, and it doesn't reduce the base material's corrosion resistance.
We coat vibration finish sheets in 10 colours: gold, rose gold, black, bronze, champagne, copper, blue, sapphire, violet, and emerald green. Each PVD-coated stainless steel sheet retains the non-directional texture of the vibration finish beneath the colour layer. The combination of random grit lines and colour produces a surface that shifts subtly as viewing angles change.
